Manama Post Office in Ajman conducts fire drill to test preparedness for emergencies

A fire drill was held at Manama Post Office in Ajman to test the preparedness of employees and customers in the event of a fire or any other emergency, organized by the Health and Safety Department in cooperation with the Department of Civil Defense of Ajman. The Civil Defense teams demonstrated how they rescue those trapped inside and bring back the injured or victims. They also demonstrated administering of first aid, including use of oxygen masks for fire-affected victims, and transporting injured persons to emergency vehicles.

Chief Support Services Officer of Emirates Post Group, Mr. Sami Al Khaja, thanked the Civil Defense Department in Ajman for its continued cooperation, as part of its relations with different government departments and community sectors. He said the activity of conducting the fire drill was part of the Group's goal of keeping employees prepared for responding to emergencies. He added that the drill enabled employees to witness at first hand rescue and first-aid operations carried out by Civil Defense.
